Terroir & Vinification
As the last grapes harvested of the year, “Vendanges Tardives” always mark a unique — even emotional — moment for our winemakers. After months of attentive care, these cherished berries are picked by hand, with the utmost delicacy.
The winemaker carefully selects once again the finest bunches — sun-drenched, slightly shriveled by frost, their bright copper hue recalling Corinth raisins. The precious harvest is then pressed very gently to obtain a highly concentrated juice, rich in aromas and character. Vinification follows the same guiding principles: finesse, natural balance, and full respect for the quality of the grapes.
Each wine has its own story...
The “Vendanges Tardives” designation was granted in 1984 by the National Committee of the INAO. It requires harvesting on plots that have been pre-selected for their exceptional terroir potential and strictly inspected by an official commission.
The wine produced from these parcels is then subjected to a double tasting and analytical assessment by an expert panel for nearly eighteen months before it can earn the revered “Vendanges Tardives” designation — a guarantee of its exceptional quality and incomparable typicity.
